What is Yoga Sensibile?

Yoga Sensibile is an approach developed by Carla Baruchello that combines principles of Hatha Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, postural work, breathing and functional movement. Based on her experience as an Iyengar Yoga teacher and physiotherapist, she created a method that adapts the practice to the individual instead of expecting the individual to adapt to the practice.

Every practice begins with observation. Instead of following a fixed sequence, posture, movement patterns, breathing and individual needs guide each session, making the practice accessible to people of different ages, abilities and levels of experience.

How this approach shapes my teaching

Every class is an opportunity to help people move with greater ease, stability and confidence. I pay attention to the small details that can make a meaningful difference, offering clear guidance and practical adjustments based on each person’s needs.

My goal isn’t to make everyone practice in the same way. It’s to help each student build a practice they can return to with confidence, whether they are taking their first class or have been practicing for years.

Some of my students have been practicing with me for more than a decade. Their progress isn’t the result of a single class, but of showing up consistently and allowing the body to adapt over time. Watching that journey unfold is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.

Yoga isn’t something to complete. It’s something to return to.
